With their futuristic design and availability in a wide range of colors, LED light strips have oddly enough, found their way into many Scottsdale homes despite being highly unconventional lighting solutions.
If you had to single out one reason behind what makes LED light strips great, it would have to be flexibility. The combination of thin profile and flexibility means you can place these lights in areas where traditional light bulbs won’t work or fit.

For example, think of areas underneath drawers, cabinets, cupboards, and the like. This unconventional functionality opens up a new world of lighting possibilities, illuminating areas previously not considered before, like under the bed, couch, and the back of the fridge.

On the other hand, using several individual light bulbs will give you light, but the spread won’t be even, with the brightness concentrated more on where the light bulb is installed.

LED light strips solve both problems. They’re flexible enough to be bent whichever way you please, and generate a soft, even light—perfect for coves and valances.

2. Christmas/Holiday Lights

As mentioned earlier, LED light strips come in all sorts of colors, which make them perfect as Christmas lights. And the best part is that you don’t even have to take them down after the holidays.

Simply install them along the eaves of your roof using adhesive foam tip. And thanks to their flexibility, you can hide your LED strips, masking them from people’s view during the day and the rest of the year. And come the holidays, simply switch them on.

There are several options when it comes to decorative LED strip lighting. You can install strips that transition between different colors, such as blue, to red, then green, or strips that creating flashing effects.

3. Drawers, Cabinets, Cupboards

Say goodbye from having to use switch on your general source of lighting just to rummage through cabinets, cupboards, and drawers.

Simply install a few LED light strips on the interior of the storage space using adhesive tape. And having a source of discreet lighting means you can save money from not having to use your general lighting all the time.

But if you want to wow guests to your home, you can go the extra mile by installing color-changing LED strips, especially in the storage areas around your kitchen and mini bar (if you have one).
